Ford reproduction voltage regulator with out air conditioner but with 38 or 40 amp alternator. Top of the black painted voltage regulator cover is C3XF-10316-C and "FoMoCo" in blue ink stamping. Made in the USA. Ford Official Licensed Product. NOTE: This is a Ford reproduction electro-mechanical voltage regulator (VR). Sometimes an original type VR will not function while a modern electronic VR performs OK. This condition is likely caused by a poor ground, a loose connector or corroded wiring. Since an original electro-mechanical VR requires more current it must be solidly grounded and tightly connected. Make sure the mounting holes are free of paint, use toothed washer, tighten well, squeeze the terminals inside connector so that they fit tightly onto spade terminals.
